Project Title:
RadiolariaRadiolaria is an experiment in the replication of the natural process of skeleton formation in the microscopic sea creatures that fall under the eponymous species. As pressure is applied from various directions, the skeletal lattice tightens and thickens to resist that force. In addition, the gridded structure of the skeleton adjusts to the curvature of the form, so tighter grids are more flexible and capable of making tighter curves and addressing double curvature.
